I can't remember (part timer's disease :o) ) the name of the quilter that I ordered it from. She is a popular designer and I have not been able to find my pattern since we moved. I will keep looking and post if I find it with her name.
The pattern for the tractor is called Tractor Fans by Brenda Groelz. I looked but could not find it. I bought the pattern in 1998 at a LQS in McKinney, TX.

That is such a beautiful block. I do love how the stripe makes it flow. Looks like a flag waving in the breeze. So very pretty.

I love the illusion created by the flag fabric. You did a great job with the cutting and layout!! :D

Hello Coventry, I had the very same problem the first couple times I tried paper piecing. I think every gal in my quilt club was laughing at me...now just with me. I was just not accustomed to 'sewing bottom side up'. I thought I needed to see the fabric in order to sew it. It took some trial and error...but I got it...now I love it. Don't give up too early!!! If I can do it...I'm sure you can too!!
