Wonderful. You are free to move about the quilting machine.

Nice stippling. Love the panda and the colors you chose are wonderful. You are right it just takes practice. I do both machine and hand quilting and combine the two sometimes on the same quilt.

Good for you!!!! I have a back up of items that need quilting but since I have only done potholders on the machine I am hesitant to try the bigger items. Like you I just keep going over it in my mind, but haven't actually DONE it yet! If mine turn out half as nice as yours, I will be happy!!!

Red Garnet gave you a clue when she said 'it's just like doodling' When I first took the plunge, I doodled it on paper, any scrap would do, including old envelopes. I was told the hand/eye co-ordination thing sort of trains the brain so that it's easier when you attempt it on the machine. Now, when I want to try out a different filling pattern, I go back to the paper and pencil first, until I am happy with that, before taking everything to the machine. Well done for having a go, the first time is always the worst!

Lovely work, I am very impressed........

(my idea of "quilting" is quilting in the ditch"--hope to progress
to stippling as time goes along)

Your Panda is so cute!!! I know that FMQ can be a pain but I find that if you practice about 15 mins. a day it does become easier. A glass of wine also helps
