Thanks, but I forgot about some borders!! I'd certainly suggest this pattern for a first-time bargello person like myself.

Beautiful colour selection...very restful, and has a gentle energy, bit like gently flowing water...anyway I digress...very cool quilt, gentle curves in a soft colour may work....Whatever you decide it will be delightful.

You should really try one, and I'd suggest THIS one because you only need to pick out 7 colors. It's very simple and non-intimidating. My next one will be Surf Song. :)

Just wanted to show you all that I got my borders on today, and it's just about basted & ready for quilting. I pulled the 'swirly' darker fabric from the bargello as a thin border, with a dark green larger outside border (fudging as I typically do). My thoughts at this point on quilting is to maybe follow after the swirly-theme on the fabric and do the same type of quilting to kind of tie it all together. It's kinda a fun springy pattern. Planning on trying out my 1920-something Singer industrial treadle for the quilting because of the larger harp-size. This is a good test before jumping into the queen-size quilt I have waiting for me.
