I MADE MY SON'S CHRISTENING GOWN FROM MY DRESS AND I'VE NEVER REGRETTED IT. IF ANYONE HAS MADE A QUILT FROM A WEDDING DRESS I'D LOVE TO SEE IT. LUCKY BABY WITH SUCH A TALENTEDGRANDMOM.

Gorgeous. If it's going to be passed down to others, it might help to embroider the baby's name and baptismal date on the slip for each baby that uses it.

I did the same with my wedding dress over 40 years ago , for my daughters grown , then when her children were christened 35 years later we used it again , I made a fine cotton petticoat to go under it and embroidered their names on it it looked so lovely , and has been now put away for great grandchildern .
