First go at FMQ
#1
I got my FM foot in the mail on Tuesday. I sat down and played with a 12" sandwich just to see what it's like...and then jumped right into this twin quilt for DD. Boy...this is going to take me some time to finish, though I imagine I`ll get a bit faster as I go along. My stitches are inconsistent at best, but I'm doing the whole quilt in loop to loops, so I figure if nothing else, I'll get *really* good at that! I certainly won't be ripping them out LOL It's so foreign to move freely. I'm sure I'll get used to it, though.
You can't see very well, but all of the squares in the 9 patch are quilted in the same way - the loop to loop thing...it just doesn't show up as much on the pink. The squares with the animals, I did the loopies all around the animals, but not on them. This is the first of twelve 9 patches. If you can see the sashing underneath, I'll be doing it all the same, and the small border too. I'll have to take comparison pics when I finish of the first 9-P and the last one lol.
