    First Meandering Attempt

I just finished my second quilt top ever for my sister in law's birthday at the end of the month, and was wanting to try some meandering on the border but thought I should practice on a couple FQs first and this is what I ended up with. Got a little close in some places, and still not super comfortable with how to manage some of the curves, but does it look ok?

I hardly had any loops on the back (second pic) and thought that was really weird for a first attempt... I've read/heard that the back tends to look really iffy the first few tries? Are some of the little antler bits too long? Is it better to keep with shorter stubby curves than long ones? Sigh Thank you!

You all are so kind and encouraging Thank you! Going to buck up my courage and give it a try on SIL's quilt this week. Will post a picture when it's done. Maybe having musician hands helps.

WOW are you sure you aren't fibbing?? first try. You did fantastic, I have tried a couple of times but it doesn't come out consistently. Went to a little class this morning to learn to do the pebble design on some of my smaller things like table toppers and small throws. My first attempt at that is not even close to yours. Maybe you are a natural at this. Great job.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful words of encouragement I was planning on binding this and using it as a pad to sit on in front of the oven! Silly, but at least it gets used.
