    First post for me!

I have lurked around this site for a couple of years and I finally have decided its time to share a quilt I've made for my soon-to-be great niece. I learned 3 things while making it. Mitered corners, tumbling blocks and most important....don't put your finger too close to the edge of your ruler! Ouch!

Very nice! You did a good job. I get to make another baby quilt for a great niece or nephew this year. Can't wait until we find out what she is having.

WOW and welcome to the QB. This couldn't possibly have been your first quilt. Great color selection too!

Welcome to the board from California. I really like your tumbling block quilt; it is different from the saturated color ones.

Thanks for the wonderful compliments. No, this isn't my first quilt, just my first time posting. I have been quilting for about 3 years, and I taught myself (and learned a ton from this site). Oh, and my finger is just flat on one side now.

Love the multiple borders!! Super cute! I've done that "fingers too close to the ruler" thing...live and learn ;-)
