Default First quilt photo I've posted here

It took me an age to get this quilt for my husband done - I didn't like the fabrics (I'm not a fan of reproduction fabrics) that he chose, and I found it a drag to work on. Seriously, from time of fabric purchase until the quilt was finished was about four years. I ran into some massive problems with the quilting (SITD) so there are a couple of really bad spots that I'm not willing to show folks.

And here is the backing, which I dyed. I have not finished clipping threads yet, but I want to go ahead and wash it because it's so dirty.

Next up is a baby quilt. Hopefully it will be done soon, and won't drag on for years!

I understand your feelings about the fabrics; those wouldn't have been my choices either. I do like browns though, and I think you made a beautiful quilt. All the fabrics put together are very handsome indeed. And if your husband likes it, then you have accomplished your goal. I hope you have more fun with the baby quilt.

It looks great and he will love it! It can be a bit boring to piece the same block over and over. I try to throw repeated blocks in between other projects to keep myself motivated.

You may not be happy with it but I think it's wonderful. I've always liked the simplicity of Churn Dash. (and others)
