I wanted my first quilt to be a scrappy type quilt and this is what I can up with. When it comes to quilting should I just do stitch in the ditch or is there some pattern that would work?

That is a wonderful scrappy quilt! Scrap quilts are so much fun. As for quilting....that depends on your experience and desires. Have a great time with all of your quilting experiences! Thanks for sharing.

Love your scrappy quilt. With my experience I would do what is simply and easy.

Nice job! What are your quilting skills? Anything would look good with this top, so you needn't worry about doing something "wrong". Excellent first quilt!

Congrats on making your first quilt!
I would maybe do straight stitching diagonally across the quilt at spaced intervals, and the diagonally the opposite way, to make large cross-hatches. Offsets the vertical/horizontal of your scrappy blocks. Hope I'm making sense lol
