They are very nice. What would a small washing of black or white do to it?

I've got a big stack of blocks like this too, and they really are addicting. Don't you like that no matter what fabrics you put together, they all seem to make beautiful blocks?

I love your blocks and really like the white fabric that you have put down the center of each block. I can see how this can be very addicting.

Thanks for all the nice responses...I have completed 48 blocks now, and doing a 6 X 8 top..then a white border to calm the eye, then I have pieced a scrap strip piano key border to go on the outside...now I have to remove all the papers...Sigh!!!! I read to shorten your stitch while piecing them, then run your scissor handle down the sewed seam and the papers tear right off...so lets hope this works...A good movie on TV would help also...wish me Luck!!

WOW ... a real eye-popping start to a quilt. Curious as to starting square size ...

Wow. I have seen this patten do many times but your blocks are up with my favorites. There is something in the fabrics that scream, "be happy".

It's going to be fantastic!! You're right about them being addicting, I love making string blocks. Some days I just sit and sew the blocks and add them to the pile, when I have alot done I put them together.
