I am a sucker for gadgets and one of my favorite quilt stores had this yoyo making tool. I bought it because I thought even kids would have fun using up scraps of fabric but I wasn't sure what on earth we would do with them. If your flowers are that big you must have started with some pretty large circles. Thanks for the inspiration.

I like gadgets too....but I haven't tried a yo-yo maker!! My circles are about 6 1/2" in dia. and I cut them out of freezer paper. I've also used bigger and smaller circles. Try putting a smaller one on top of a larger one for a fuller flower.

Patti, I'm going to make one too. Your choice of fabrics is just perfect. Can you tell me what size the yo yos are? I have a 3 1/2" yo yo maker that makes a 1 1/2" yo yo. I'm thinking yours are a bit larger.

Hi Sue.....happy to hear you're going to make one. The finished size of the yo-yo is 3 inches in dia. The fabric circle is about 6 1/2 in. in dia. You can make them any size you want.....put different sizes in the basket! I think that would look great. If you have any more questions....just ask! Patti
