I would love a tute for the pillow. I found the ornament instructions online. Could you tell me more specifically about hand sewing the points down. Like should it be invisible. Is it just a tacking or backstitching. Do you need to tie off between points. Ahh--show me--PLEASE

Wow that is beautifal. I haven't seen one in years. It doesn't look easy. I guess I'll see the tutorial and give it a shot.
Thanks for sharing

Oh my goodness, your pillow is lovely! I've got a couple of unfinished small round ones that were supposed to be hot pads...they're nearing vintage...started in the early eighties! I highly recommend these for pressing practice...hahaha...will seriously improve accuracy! And the sand board I made for marking is still in use today...well, it's in my travel bag...not really in use...perhaps I'll dig those out and see about finishing them... geez, inspiration comes from all sides on this board, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing!

I hand sew the points with just a whip stitch or two but the instruction say to put a dot of glue underneath each point which works also.

The cutting and pressing takes the longest once you have that done you can put the block together in about 45 min.

Boy, do I remember those!! There were folded stars on everything...potholders, toilet lid covers, ornaments..I even saw a quilt in a guild show with 6 inch folded stars. It was gorgeous but it sure was heavy.
