    so finish the pattern and then use it as a backdrop for some applique....since it's a dark background, a white or light colored flower would be nice...

    I am thrilled that you are going to finish this. I love the fabrics and the Trip Around the World is one of my favorite patterns. You can quilt each one so different. And anything purple is beautiful IMHO. My fav. color. Cannot wait to see it completed!

    I love the purples you have in this quilt. Adding a border or two and having it quilted will bring on a new look yet! Finish it and if your still not happy with it use it as a gift for someone and you will make someone else very happy!!! But I am betting you will keep it for yourself...I know I would!

    I think it is very pretty. If you aren't happy with this, you can always applique over some of the blocks to change up the look :D:D:D

    I understand that you don't like it. I usually just scrap and sell or give away. Sorry, I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I have done the same thing. Best of luck :-)
