yes try on a baby or lap quilt. I practiced on 10" squares and even just fabric before i tried on my quilt :)

You will get it. I just started quilting in May (last month) so i figured if I just tried it maybe I would always do it that way if I were brave and learned it right away. LOL I still need practice but I will practice on my quilts I guess. :lol:

I'm sorry to hear about your 1st DH! It's very hard to do something that brings back all those memories but I bet hes still up there cheering for you! You should def try again!

Quilt class is so much fun! I brought this quilt in to ask the teacher for help with the binding on the corners but she was so excited she showed off my quilt and carried it around the store to show everyone who would pay attention LOL

Good job with both the quilt and quilting! Sometimes it is worth it to stick to it to learn something new.

Love it! I am doing FMQ on my smaller quilts and it is getting better with time and practice but not perfect yet. Yours looks good.
