That's lovely: you must have a pretty impressive stash to pull that out of the hat!

That is sharp! And I bet if one wanted to do a lap or smaller you might be able to stop at the first blue section. I will look that up and consider it for a veteran's quilt. Thanks for sharing.

The name of the quilt is "Broad Stripes, Bright Star" by Darlene Zimmerman and I found the pattern at www.robertkaufman.com. and the original size of the quilt was 76" by 76" and the finished size of the small stars in the center was 6" x 6". I found the advertisement in "Quiltmaker" March/April 2014 issue. There was another site listed in the ad - swatchandstitch.com. Hope this answers everyone's questions. My second quilt was a civil war quilt and I had fabric left over (and all of you said "save the extra" fabric) and that is what I used to make this quilt.

It looks wonderful! Really like the fabrics - the way they go together! It's very calming somehow. Congratulations!

That is a truly wonderful project....I will have to go find this pattern and add it to my "list".....and the fact that it came all from your stash .... a "freebie'... WOW !!! Talented AND frugal !! You win.

Really pretty fabric combinations and design I do love saying I did not have to buy any fabric for a quilt. Just finished top and all from my stash. Now to find the backing in stash hopefully. Will post photo when do final pressing
