I love the quilt but I agree that the yellow is too bold of a color to go with the rest of the quilt. It doesn't look like it's quilted yet so I would "un-sew" the yellow's and replace them if it was mine. Maybe a little work but I think it would be worth it.

I like it, if your unhappy with the yellow, go over it with the new sharpe stain sticks with the light blue and make it green, or red and make it orange, something like that. use your scrap of yellow to figure it out.

When I first saw your picture I, too, thought 'tone it down' but the more I look the more I wish there were just a little more yellow somewhere to bring balance. The bright does add something good to your lovely quilt. Could the binding be interspersed with some of the orange/browns and bits of yellow?

I made a pp block that didn't look right, so I took permanent markers in different colours and added to the fabrics that didn't work to make them fit in better.

I love it!! Maybe you could use fabric markers or fabric colored pencil to tone it down a little bit.

Love it! I never understood a design wall until I made a quilt with a similar color 'punch'.

I like the yellow, but I like quilts with a little zing to them. Wait a little while and see how you feel about the quilt, then if you're still unhappy with the yellow you can tone it down using some of the suggestions already given. It is a beautiful quilt either way.
