    Frida panel

Frida panel with a hombre border, which gives it a glowing look. I did thread painted on shawl and dress. Free motion quilting in background. There are also some 3D monarch butterflies.

Love it. I didn't even know who Frieda was until a few years ago. You have to admire her sense of color and self.

I love this. You will inspire me. I have panels and fabric to make a quilt that will be an homage to Frida Kahlo. I plan to make it for a friend who is an artist and a great admirer of Frida Kahlo.

I have a friend in England who loves Frida Kahlo - this would make a great gift for her. Thanks so much for posting - I love what you did with the panel.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

Wow! That has a lot of impact. Frida would like what you've done with it!

Oh I luv it. Very nice...Went to Austin last week for the Formula 1 racing, got to do some shopping. Bought my sister who is an artist, a red purse with Frida. She loved it. Said she used it the next day and got several compliments. Now I am thinking a quilt would be better. Where did u find the panel?
