What a great idea. I gave my husband a binder with his family tree dating by to the 14th century. I think a quilt would be a great idea and gift to give. Something to think about...

OH! OH! OH! You just gave me a freakin' fantastic idea! My sweet little mother passed away in June at age 98, one month shy of her 99th birthday. She loved a party and she always insisted that all 6 of her daughters who are scattered throughout the US get together at least every 5 years to throw her a birthday party. Since she didn't make it to her 100th, we all decided at her funeral to throw her a 100th anyway, and we already have reservations on her birthday weekend (there are 56 of us in 5 [now 4] generations) that will gather to celebrate her life. You just gave me the idea to make Sunbonnet Sue throws for my five sisters with Mother in the middle and each of us on a block with our birthdays embroidered on it, and give them at the reunion/birthday party next year. I have almost a year to get 5 of them done. Gotta get to planning and get to work. Oh, my, I don't know whether to thank you or not. lol.
