Did you notice the set of three hand in the second row. that member was a male, he didn't have any fabric so I sent him a bunch of scraps. The block has his and his wife's hand print, plus their 6 mo-old son. He said it was a challenge to get the baby's hand drawn and finally had to do it while he was asleep.

I've thought of this as a project for a family reunion, getting hand print of the family members and doing quilts for each generation. Maybe raffling off for reunion expenses.

I want to thank all of you for your nice comments. This quilt was so much fun to do.
If anyone starts a project on the board to do one of these, I would want to join. And if anyone does one with the circl of family and/or fiends, I hope you will share pitcures with us.

My family does appreciate quilts.
A few years ago we had a family quilt show in our home town. Anyone in our family who owned a quilt made by them or someone else in the family could show them. We had over 50 quilts. We even had some my mom and both grannies had made, so we ended up with quilts from five generations of quilter.
It was fun and hope to do it again soon....lots more quilts have been made by us in the last 3 yrs.

Barb, what a great idea! Your quilt is wonderful.

We have 4 generations, from 4 to 102 years. That would be a very special keepsake. Hummmmmmmmmm....I'm not that good, but I could try.
