We decided to go with an all over swirl pattern. I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.

Wonderfully interesting quilt. I really like the way you showcased the characters in the blocks. The black is just perfect to set everything of to greatest visual appeal. The quilting is perfect and I really like that puffy look that resulted from whatever batting you used. Great quilt.

Very interesting quilt, is that the 10 minute block? Turned out great.

Thank you! I sent my quilt to my LA lady. She picked the batting and I don't know what she used, but yes very snuggly. The back is black flannel.

Yes, it is the 10 minute block made using a 10" layer cake and features some oop fabric I had by Alexander Henry. I used a technique demonstrated by Jean Truelove https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8HIb1tX9iE

I also made some long rectangular blocks with fussy cut sections to add interest by placing them alternately on the outside of three big 10 minute blocks on one row and then separating the big blocks on the next row and so forth. I just made up the border from scraps to make it big enough to fit a queen bed.

Thanks for everyone's comments.

Great quilt! The black sashing really makes those beautiful fabrics pop.
