Darling outfits and quilt. I'm making a doll quilt now, and sure had fun with the clothing I made. Last request was for socks and leggings for AG doll, tried, but they were too hard to get on, and then the shoes wouldn't go over. Any suggestions for that?

You are a super grandmother to make her all of these things for her birthday. They are beautiful!!! I cannot wait until you post pic of her. Thank you for sharing  Make sure you wish your GD a Happy Birthday for your quilting friends :-) :-)

What a great grandma you are Debbie. She'll love it. Heck I'd love it.

My GD got a custom made dollhouse for Christmas. I made her a quilt for it. Her birthday is coming up and she is getting new doll furniture.

How cute, and how much fun you must have had!!! Dressing dolls and little girls was sheer fun for me, too.

As for the socks and leggings for the AG dolll, get some of the cotton knit like you use for cuffs on a sweatshirt. If you pin it slightly snug, to fit the foot and leg and then just zig-zag a small seam, it will fit the foot and stretch . For doll socks, I sometimes stitch a narrow piece of lace along the top, and stretch it as I stitch it, and when the sock top is folded down, it sort of gathers the lace like a ruffle.
