I am currently working on a paper pieced block for my quilt guild. One of the ladies was helping me to do this one. I did the bottom half of the "package" and then she said for me to trim down to the size of the square. She DID NOT tell me to leave a l/4" seam allowance so the piece was "wasted". This is a picture the piece I am doing (not mine).

However, after seeing your giraffe, it makes me say OMG. I could never attempt it. You did a fantastic job.

This must have been a VERY difficult sew. I do paper piecing and love it but don't think I would tackle this pattern. You did a wonderful job. I love the critter.
