So pretty - glad that pattern is easy for someone. My and small 9 patches just don't get along well.

That quilt is very cute, but I would not be able to be quick about it! Good job.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I noticed that maybe my quick quilt isn't that quick for several of you but I have been sewing for over 50 years (quilts only in the last few) so I guess I'm a little faster then some.

So I've been thinking about how to make this one of the easiest throw together quilts in a rush and the only way to make it go faster is to pre-plan one. With that in mind, I would suggest to anyone wanting to do this one, that isn't a fast sewer, to make some of the sashing 9 patches ahead of time, you could also make the long sashing strips as well. Put them away for that day when you need a quick quilt and then all you have to do is cut 6 1/2" & 10 1/2" squares and the 2 borders.

By the way, I went to meet my friend and he was not there, his wife had the baby that night and "IT"S A GIRL" so I had to leave the quilt with his friend so he could get it to him next Monday. I'm sure he will be surprised.
