The term "God's Eye" is new to me in quilting. I used the term when I used to make baskets, though.

That is beautiful. Can you tell us a little about what a faux piped binding is? A picture would be great. It really looks like a nice finishing.

There are several tutorials on the internet describing the process. I cut the "binding" fabric 1 3/8 Inch wide and the "faux piping" fabric 1¾ Inch wide. Sew those together to make the binding. Fold in half and press as usual. Then sew the binding to the back of my project making sure the Piping fabric is FACING UP. Flip over to the front and sew in the ditch between the piping and the binding. I'm sure the tutorials are better at explaining the process but this is just the way I do it. Thanks for asking. Hope you try it some time. It does add a little spark!
