Good Golly, Miss Molly (My darling Blue & Gold Macaw)
#23
I had a Congo African Grey that I hand fed and reared as a baby. It loved to cuddle when I fed it. But, once he became weened, he didn't need me anymore and wouldn't step up.
I named him "Lovey."
He would mimic EVERYTHING. In fact, he made me a nervous wreck. Once I burned something on the stove so bad, the fire alarm went off. It only happened once and he learned it.
Once in a while, he'd mimic the fire alarm briefly and would send me in panic around the house. It's amazing how well they mimic electronic sounds.
I rehomed him with a family. They didn't care for his name "Lovey" and renamed him "Buddy."
