That is such a sweet story and beautiful quilt. May I ask what pattern you used? My son and his fiance love owls and I am sure they would enjoy that quilt to cuddle under!

If he is sensitive enough to bring a beloved Elmo back at age 12, I suspect he will treasure this gift for a lifetime. This is a beautiful story and you must have a very loving and giving heart.

oh what a precious quilt for a young man who needs the wisdom of an owl....I am sure he will treasure it not only because its something he can call his own but because there was someone who loves him for who he is that made it for him...wow...blessings and prayers that God will protect this young man and teach him the way he should go...blessings

Love the quilt and your loving heart! I always wished I was able to foster children, but I am just not the nurturing, loving person that they need, so I just really encourage myself and my church to give to those that can do it.

What a very loving and caring person you are daisyboo !!!! Your quilt you made is absolutely beautiful. This young man will cherish it like his Elmo, I am sure. I type this with tears in my eyes. Like someone else said, be sure to put your telephone number and possibly your address under a label, so he will always have it when he needs it. Get him to memorize the number. He will definitely come back to you. He is old enough to remember everything. I have a grandson that will be 13 next month. They need all the love they can get, even with parents.
