Great find in the GW you had! Trouble with a lot of thrift-type stores is that it is easy for them to think "if it ain't already something, then we don't sell it." I have watched as bunches of fabric is just tossed out -- what a waste. It is always in your best interest to visit the store manager and suggest they carry donated fabrics, then tell them why so many crafters look for it. Also tell them if they are in looking for fabrics, they are also more prone to buy other things. Impulse buying is what makes them good money.

Terry - in Northern Delaware.

I wish we had your goodwill. there is a second hand store in a town next to us. I found some neat curtain fabric there for 3.00 and it was still on the tube.

My Goodwill sells each peice separately. St Vincent sells their fabric by the big garbage bag for $2 or $3. each.

I went to our local GW the other day after reading the posts here and figured I could get a bargain. I found some rose print, pretty but not my style, to try out a new pattern. My husband took one look and told me that he knew where that fabric came from - his house. When his wife passed he gave her fabric to a lady who obviously took it to GW and I bought it!!! I will still use it but will give it to my DIL who will love the print. We have had a few laughs over this.
