Piecing of the blue horse is done and now I need some input....
What colour would you do the background? I'm thinking a light/medium grey. I'd love to find a tonal grey that starts light at the top and darkens toward the bottom, but that's unlikely.
Any ideas?

that's gorgeous--and I want it! LOL! What does either black or a deep purple look like behind it? I'm not thinking the gray would make it jump out. Or what about light orangey-gold? Maybe that in a hombre??

Your quilt is stunning. I think the light gray would be a great background for it.

Just WOW!! I don't think I have the patience or talent to do something like that, but, wow, your horse really makes me want to try! Absolutely beautiful.

being a great fan of subtly pieced creatures, I am really eager to see how you complete this fine example of the breed.

Maybe a green background?
