Finally got it together and final pressing this AM......now to decide how to finish quilting it..
.......it is a small, 8"square (small hanging) so it won't need too much.

I would love to be able to machine quilt but it just isn't one of my talents !!!!!!!!

How would diagonal stitching from the flower out to all edges look?

    Any suggestions gladly accepted. Thanks.........mj

By all means, quilt it by hand! It's small, so should go fast. Easy to remove the stitches if you don't like them. Keep up the good work!

As a hand quilter I would echo quilt around the flower and leaves do a little accent quiting around the yellow center. You could add some veins in the leaves.

Then see if it need something to the edge, like diagonal from the echo.

    Really pretty.

This is very pretty. Too pretty to practice FMQ. Copy the outline of this flower onto some muslin, make a quilt sandwich and practice your FMQ first. You will be glad you did.

Beautiful job! Echo quilting comes to mind; with all the straight pp seams I would lean toward quilting with curves.
