I finished this quilt a while back from scraps of a full size quilt I'm making for my granddaughter. The backing of this one is the only thing I could salvage from the baby quilt my grandmother made for my son before he was born. She choose pink flannel for the backing. I guess she was hoping for a girl. :-) Well, we are finally getting her. My son and daughter-in-law leave for China Aug 3rd and will return Aug 18th with our little Mae Lynn. She was 2 years old on July 1st and I hope she enjoys this little quilt made with lots of love. The other picture is the full size quilt I posted earlier that I used the scraps from.

I love these quilts. Pink and chocolates are one of my favorite color combinations.

Both quilts are lovely. Those colors remind me of strawberry cream filled chocolates. Mmmm.........

Congratulation Grandma - the quilt is precious. We have an 11 year old granddaughter from China. She is so special. She fits right in with the rest of the kids. She has a cousin the same age. Our Hannah came home on her 1st birthday.

Thank you! We are SO looking forward to finally having her home. It's nice to know that your granddaughter blended so well. I know Mae Lynn will to. Can't wait! :-)

Thanks for all your kind words. It's been so long since I made a quilt, now I've got the "bug" and want to try so many patterns and materials. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
