Two of my three granddaughters and one grandson have made snap bags so far. (Oh, and one friend who was visiting from out of state came too) We don't call them purses so as not to be gender specific. Nick wanted to make one, so we altered it to be deeper for school supplies. He calls it his duffle bag. No shoulder strap, just a short wrist strap. And his is black denim and lined with Elvis print (his choice!)
The two girls together are GD Rachel (taller) and 11 y/o and her BFF Katie. Katie moved to WV at the end of the school year and was back for a visit. They are modeling their snap bags.
GD in pic alone is Sarah, who started this project. She is my shadow in the studio, loves doing crafts and will likely be a stitcher too! Sarah is a triplet; sister and brother have not yet made their bags. Nick's next project will be a pillowcase of pirate fabric.
