I have my mother's button tin, I remember playing in it when I was a child. I have also purchased boxes and tins of buttons at yard sales and auctions. I own lots of button tins and jars. Sometimes, I still just sit and sort my buttons.

Great idea to showcase some of our treasured buttons, I have several jars but most of mine are dark buttons.

Cute quilt and what a great creative way to display your antique buttons. I have a jar of my grandmother's buttons and now I have an idea of how to use them. My Grandma cut buttons and saved everything useful from a garment.

How fun! You probably have started a trend with some of the quilters here. LOL!

I also have collected buttons most of my life. It is very fun to go through them and daydream about what they could have been on. Friends and family have gifted me their collections, so I have, I think, six peoples worth of lifetime collections. There used to be button market shows in California. I never went to one, but, that would have been fun. Don't you think?
