Wonderful is the only word I find to fit, be a good caregiver to it. I remember seeing this type at my granny's house.

Hopefully the younger generation will pick up the desire to take the time and appreciate the love that goes into such beautiful work being done by so many older people? You have a treasure!

Such a find and such a wonderful story. Both are your treasures. Be sure to keep the written story with the quilt for later relatives to enjoy. If you remember anything about any of the "signers" write those down too.

You will cherish this. I have quilts my granny and my great granny made by hand, they are priceless to me. I remember when I took the first top to my quilter to help me decide what I wanted to do with them, she told me she had never seen better hand stitching in all her experience than my great granny's. I love them.
