Thread: Grandmother's Sunflower Quilt

    I made this lap quilt for my grandmother for her 93rd birthday. She loves it.

    The center was a pattern in a magazine that was suppose to be a wall hanging. I wanted it bigger so I just started randomly adding pieces to it till I got to the size I wanted.

    Beautiful! You are so lucky to have her. Between my husband and I the eldest relative we have are our older sisters... and they're only 55!

    Love the sunflowers. You did a great job on increasing the size of it.

    Yes, I am very lucky to have her, and she used to quilt so she appreciates the time that went into her gift.

    We have her party at the same park every year at her request, on Sunday she was already planning next year's party! She's still a pip!
