Sewbusy, you did a great job, it's a wonderful keepsake, I love the idea of putting it in a tote bag too :D

Sewbusy - those a awesome! Love the quilt and the tote bag for stoage is just a great idea! Now I have to see about making some for my grands too! You may have just created some more work - when I am already behind!!! But such a clever idea - thank you dear lady for sharing.

Thank you Ruth, the front is cotton and the back is flannel. I purchased 6 yards for the front which allowed me room to match the first strip at 2 1/2 yards and than used 4 inch strips of matching brown around it to complete for a queen size. For the back I purchased 9 yards and had to match the print twice in the 3 strips. I cut a large strip off the back to fit the top. My sisters cat took a liking to the softness of the fabric and I gave her a big hunk to put in her box, since she is the "watch cat" for the quilting shop.
