Your little guy is 100% cute! I think he really likes his new gifts. Quilters are the BEST.

Oh it does my heart good to see this post! :) I am so thankful to hear from you because, as a Blanketeer for Project Linus, we never get to meet nor see pictures of the little ones receiving their quilts. This weekend, I will be in attendance of a Project Linus mini-conference where there will be many useful hints and new ideas to stitch for the children in hospitals. Your little guy's face will forever be etched in my mind as I continue to make charity quilts.
God Bless your family and may he continue to improve.

I am blown away once again my the outpouring of love by quilters! Thank you again for all you do for others, whether it is a quilt for a friend, or neighbor's baby, or a donation. It is such a unique, heartfelt labor of love.

Ashton is doing really well, the way to fix the aspirating is not so fun. Everything he drinks, water, juice, milk, has to be thickened to honey consistancy. Hopefully in 3-4 months, his vocal/throat muscles will have strengthed and re-trained themselves to swallow properly. He will continue to be treated for asthma until or unless he stops wheezing and coughing. He is pretty dreamy isn't he? ;)

Thank you for all your kind words!
~Karen

What a wonderful warm feeling to get the quilts. Your son is so precious, handsome and yes, beautiful. I wish him all the wonderful joys of childhood, and that his health issues reverse. I will say prayers for a wonderful future ahead for him, you and your family. Hugs..............

In Australia we make quilts for Linus and for the Premie babies and also for families who lost their babies. We know how much they are needed and appreciated by the families. Last year we received a letter from a lady who had been given one of our quilts when her baby son died. She has another child now and she told us that she gave the quilt to her new son and was telling him about the brother he will never meet and the quilt that binds them together. It brought tears to many eyes as our President read the letter to the group. We as a group do know that our little bit of love helps strangers and friends alike. I am glad you have two wonderful gifts from strangers who care.

Ohh my he is just too cute for words. Funny how when u least expect something good it jumps out at you!! I have just started quilting but im going to make a quilt and donate it. We have a unisex homless building. They said they had 33% more men than last year and oh my 62% more women and children. They are using what looked liked mats for beds and said they had no blankets, Bingo i decided to send the quilt there before Xmas. Then i will make many for my hospital!! I am a baby born severe chronic asthmatic with COPD. I so feel for the little one,,,,, its so scary when you cant breathe and you panic. When u have something that u really love near you it helps calm you. Im so happy he got not just one but 2 donated quilts. Quilters are everywhere!!!!

Just a little hint,,,, when he panics distract him with songs books nursery ryhmes!!!
