I asked my great niece, Cassie, if she would like a quilt and she said yes. (My mom is the quilter in the family and has not made her one) She has a bunk bed so I was thinking twin size which I could handle. Her favorite color is purple and she likes lime green. I told her to pick out some FQs for her quilt. When I saw the FQs I said, if Nana (her Great Grandma) was here she would tell you that those colors don't match! She said, I know Auntie Cris but I like them! My niece later suggested that the quilt be made for a full/queen cuz she was growing out of the bunk bed. So with the help of my Mom, here is the top! Pattern is Carousel in the Cozy Modern Quilts book by Kim Schaefer. I may need a La'er cuz I don't know if I can SITD on this one!!!!

You've made a lovely quilt... and I really do like the colors together.. sometimes we have to get outside our boundaries a bit, and this one shows creative spirit on both your parts! Congrats!

Maybe you should team up with your niece. She can design and you can stitch. Great job from both of you!

Nowadays Lime Green is a traditional color, so she's right in line with the times. It's very good of you to fulfill her vision her way.
