I enjoy Wanda Hansen's blog Exuberant Color:

    exuberantcolor.blogspot.com/2010/01/starting-few-h-quilts.html

I was inspired to make an H quilt for my cousin Holly. She's a doctor; she helped my brother with some medical issues. The quilt is a thank you to my cousin.

I used Kaffe, batik and whatever worked from my stash.

    Thanks for looking.

The pattern can be found at Wanda's site:

    exuberantcolor.blogspot.com/2010/01/starting-few-h-quilts.html

It's an old pattern. I've seen it before with quilts in traditional colors.

The block finishes at 7.5 inches.

I cut the legs 2 inches by 8 inches.

The fill in parts of the H:

    2 inches by 2.5 inches
    2 inches by 3.25 inches

Once the cutting is done, the sewing goes fast. I used a tiny dab of glue along the long section and hit it with an iron for second INSTEAD of pins.

I hope my notes are correct. I gave the quilt to my aunt to give to my cousin.
