Hey, that turned out great! The panel has really neat designs on it, and all together it makes a terrific quilt. I love the binding fabric, too.

Have you thought of machine sewing your binding - shh do not tell the quilt police that I said that - but it is so much quicker.
I have thought about it but when I mentioned it to my quilting instructor I got her "daggers of death" look LOL She and I are actually really good friends so we laughed about it. I did try to machine sew on the binding on a table runner - I definitely need to practice more with that!

This binding is actually the best one I've ever sewn - I used the method from a thread on the board here of not ironing it in half before I sewed it onto the quilt. I have to say that I will use this method from now on - my binding has never been so straight and consistent before.

It looks really good and am glad you finished it. I have a Christmas quilt I've been hand quilting for 3 years. I think you inspired me to finish it.

The pattern came from the September 2011 issue of The Quilter magazine. My friend just happened to stumble across the panel pieces and we found the rest of the fabric at our LQS and online.
