Cool Hampden Quilt Challenge - Glasgow, Scotland

On Saturday 8th June 2013, almost 4,000 donated quilts were displayed at Hampden Park National Football Stadium, Glasgow. This was a project started by Ann Hill, Quilter in Residence for Alzheimer Scotland to raise funds for this Charity. It was a wonderful day with glorious weather and I was delighted to have taken part in, and attend this event.

What a great way to display quilts! It must have been great to wander down the rows to see the quilts.

That is just too awesome! So wonderful to see such an outpouring for such a worthy cause. I love that you got a full shot of the field from way up in the bleachers. How impressive it must have been to see them all laid out like that. And I would have to say you got the nod from above with such picture perfect weather.

I became very emotional when I looked at the photos of all the quilts. What a wonderful and beautiful way to help a worthwhile charity. It is overwhelming to see all those quilts in one place. I can imagine how good you must feel to be a part of it. Thank you.
