Your work is beautiful. Hand quilting is such a unique talent these days, and require a patience I don't have. Seems to give a quilt a totally different hand, too, than machine quilting. I envy you you're talent and your patience!

Your work is beyond beautiful. I am a novice handquilter and I do agree with you. The last two shows I visited showed mainly machine work and I was very disappointed. I will continue to machine piece and handquilt and just hope that it does not become a lost art. Keep up the beautiful work.

Your hand quilting is awesome. Mine was not that good when I could do it. I machine quilt because my fingers lock up when hand sewing. I can't do needle turn applique either. So it is out of necessity not speed.

Your handquilting is absolutely wonderful. I usually make quilts for "disasters" or kids. However, I do have a trip around the world that I am hand quilting. I like to do it for pleasure and relaxation. The local quilt group has a place in the large country fair where we hand quilt. It is so nice to talk with the people who remember their grandmother or aunt or someone who hand quilted. Last year we set up a small panel quilt so we could teach anyone who wanted to try to hand quilt. It was a success!

Thank you Thank you Thank you for saying so well, how I feel about quilting by hand. A thing of beauty made by hand is so wonderful instead of perfectly formed pieces from a touch of a button.........there is a saying on someone's website, "A stitch for me and a prayer for thee" and that is the state of mind that hand quilting means to me

But to take a hand pieced old fabric quilt top and hit it with a bunch of loops on a machine breaks my heart. Each way has its own field. I wished someone would put handwork areas of the quilt shows to show off the hard work we hand quilters do. Here are a few of my hand quilted items I hope you like. I wonder what others have to say about it. I know when I talk to other hand quilters, they feel the same way and we are not noticed for the hard work. Keep up the good work all you hand quilters. And keep up the great art of the small machine designs that are so beautiful. But the whip em out big loops don't do a thing for me. I wonder what you all think.
Your hand quilting is absolutely stunning, I am in the process of hand quilting a king size quilt, I have been at it for about 7 months. I think the "instant gratifcation" is the biggest backer of the machine quilting. I think both have thier place but I do love to look at and feel the hand quilting.
