I thought maybe some bright colors for summer would be a change from my usual palette ... what was I thinking? One of my daughters might be getting a surprise in the mail this coming week!

Thanks for looking (and sorry about the shock to your eyes!)

Just close your eyes for a few minutes and take another look-now-isn't that better? The colors are wonderful!!! It conveys "summer" just as you'd hoped!

Hey - I think it's good. Personally not my fav colors, but it's very sunshiney and happy looking! The border and sashing tones it down enough to make it just right! I like it!

I love it. And your handquilting is wonderful. With those orangy sun-shiney colors combined with your wonderful wave quilting in the border it makes me think of a day at the beach!

I like it. Your daughter will be happy to get this surprise. But I know what you mean a out working with a different color palette. I have the same problem.

I love it! I love bright yellows and the orange fabrics are the perfect complement. Makes me feel happy. Your daughter will appreciate the "sunshine" that comes in the mail.

I don't call that a shock at all. If you are not fond of it, your daughter is sure to love it. I think, if it were me, I would call it "You are My Sunshine".

You just gave me the answer ... since my granddaughter was born I always since the song "You are my Sunshine" to her. The quilt will be on it's way to Willow this coming week. Thank you so much for the insight!

It's beautiful. I don't think it's bright or shocking at all. It's a perfect summer quilt. Makes me think of sherbet!
