When she questioned the piecer she was told the piecer was not the designer and didn't know where it came from. No one seemed to know.

I copied it and named it 'Happy Daisies'. I played around with paper until I got the size petals and stems that I wanted. Then I made a template. The blocks are 13" square and then cut in half and sewed together, then squared to 12 1/2". I copy lots of things I see, unless it specifically says don't copy it. If that's not okay, then I'm a dead duck. I do not have a creative mind. Even though I don't know where it came from originally, I do remember my mom making a daisy quilt about 50 years ago. She didn't use the positive/negative color scheme, just the daisy petals. That's probably why I like this quilt so much, it reminds me of her.
How can I get this pattern from you? My Granddaughter would love it!!

Your colorful quilt looks wonderful, the pattern is great. I saw it made in black and white fabric with a touch of yellow.

Hi Kathy,
I'm sure you have sent out multiple copies of your templates, but if it would not be too much to ask you to do it again, I would love to have a copy. The quilt is so fresh looking along with being truly beautiful. Thank you for considering this.

For those of you who have made tthis quilt, this is probaby a dumb question but once you have everything cut out and ironed in place, what method of stitching everything down do you use?? I'm not too experienced with hand applique but if that's what I have to do, I will. When finished, will post pictures. I love the pattern and thanks so much for sharing the pattern with us :)

Happy Tails---I used the machine and satin stitched my daisies. I have done hand applique, but I enjoy doing it this way. Always think the next one I will change, but enjoy it too much. I make a lot of quilts with applique. Have fun!!! Marge
