You were lucky that you were paying attention. You did a great job fixing it.

Well, that sounds like something I might do, but haven't. So glad it wasn't any worse than that!

I should know better, anyway, I lit a nice peach candle a friend gave me for Christmas in the studio where the children live (the doggies). And needing to blame someone, hubby is one who told me to do it ahahhaahha

Anyway I started to work on my quilts. I did have a large space to work on and didn't think the candle posed a problem, even tho my mind said to blow it out.

I remember flinging the quilt top to start working on one side, when I thought I saw a flash of light. I was going to ingnore it but decided to look and there was my quilt on fire....

I quickly beat it out, thank God it had just caught and it wasn't bad.

Nice repair job. Glad to know you there was not further damage and that you were not injured.

Good thing it waqs only the quilt. Had the same issue in my daughter's bedroom once and the result was worse then justa burned blanket. luckily no one was hurt. needless ot say we don't burn candles anymore, we just use those warmer things.

I'm glad things weren't a lot worse. It's scary how easily a fire can start.

During the holiday season, our local TV station was giving out warnings. Firefighters had a lot of call-outs for fires that started from candles.

Oh,, no! that's awful. But, so glad you could "fix" it. You bounced right back after such a catastrophe. Way to go!
