Have you ever set you quilt on fire?

The first Quilt I made was a Polyester double knit 5"square patchwork, backed with a sheet blanket. 35 yrs ago. It has been rebacked twice and needs it again, used to put a fire out about 10 years ago. I made it for my daughter and she has slept with it for the past 35 yrs. Even takes it when she travels. -- A candle was knocked down near the bed and her husband was burned slightly. She put out the small fire with her blanket. It is surviving with about 6 small melted spots.

So glad all worked out good and you done a beautiful job saving your quilt.
