The quilt top looks fine to me! I think once it is quilted all will come together nicely and no one is going to seek out imperfections and if they are, then they needed to finished the quilt instead! Huggles.

Laurie Jo,that is so sad and you have all given me the incentive to plod on with this quilt and yes it is awful to watch someone with Dementia,my sister is not too bad yet,Thank God ---- she certainly couldn't finish off the quilt but she will get worse.
I worked as a Nurse with Dementia patients for a few years and it is sad.
Thank You

It is a beautiful quilt. Your sis probably did the best she could and you should finish it just as it is. I lost my sis a year ago and I miss her very much. She wasn't as precise with her sewing etc. as I am but I plan to leave her UFOs as she sewed them and then finish them and give to her granddaughters. Lots of hugs, linda

Hugs for you when you want so badly to honor your sister with such a beautiful gift. It is very beautiful, and I promise, from my own experience, that your niece will never notice any oopsies nor care. I heard a lady speak one time who had done a quilt which won many, many awards, and all she ever saw was what she perceived as a huge flaw. I love you for your sacrifice!!
