Help me choose!

I tend to believe in light and dark values and few middles, though for some reason end up with a lot of mediums. I say keep the dark since you've only a couple. One of the checks, probably the blue. Do you really want to deal with directional fabrics anyway with whay you've planned?

Weeeellll...I confess Steve--I don't usually use prints that have to go a certain direction--as far as upright, but when it comes to checks--I cut where ever. Always seems to come out okay. In my eyes anyway. :D I just wanted to show the other side of the coin, so to speak.

I would take out the light blue gingham, if you take the darker blue color out, you take away from it's drama. If you take the large floral print out, it will take the grounding fabric out. Because the large floral carries all the color of the other fabrics. The light blue gingham would wash in the quilt and wouldn't be noticed as much as all the rest of the colors. Nice choice of fabrics, they are very beautiful together. I can't wait to see it when it's done.

AND here's the biggy... I get to have a shopping trip in the capital next week so I am thinking I might be able to find the PERFECT fabrics there!! So I am not cutting until I see what the big city has to offer.
I love ALL your input! Usually there's just me, my sis and my colourblind husband conferencing!

I'd pull the large floral out and save it for the border.

I think the big print would be the one I pulled as well. However I do like Yvonne's idea of using it as the border. Can't wait to see what you decide...keep us posted. I really enjoy the progression threads so much!!
