Yes, it finishes it off. I can hardly wait for the fabric to get here. I have 3 online orders that haven't arrived yet and I'm getting anxious but I just ordered this last night. I need to do a test of the Sugar Bowl blocks. The measurements in EQ6 are a bit strange and I need to figure out what size square to start with, sew up both sides of the center, then cut apart on both diagonals to get the half & half triangle corners for the center square.

Will be easiest to do them a little bigger than needed, sew them to the square, and then square up the block. Basically whatever size that block comes out to is what size the solid blocks need to be. The design is based on 10" blocks.

I'm probably too late, but I liked the second one better. But I do agree on the additional triangles finishing off the outside edges nicely. :D

Yeah, twopals, you're late and out-voted!! I do like both but the more I see them, the more I like the first one.

I ordered the fabric last night anyway. Unfortunately maybe because I am not sure if there is enough for the extra border. EQ over estimates the fabric requirements though, IMO, sometimes by a large amount.

It does over estimate a lot doesn't it. It's hard to say by how much though and I'm paranoid about running out of fabric.

I'm jealous you're going to sew with esqmommy, you'll have a blast!

I know how you feel. I'd read about people meeting up and feel sorry for myself that there wasn't someone close by. Where we work is even closer together, close enough to meet for lunch... a long lunch. :D

It would be great to meet up with more people from the board.

My daughter and I are planning a trip to Rome and Paris in the fall and I was thinking I'd like to go to Australia some time too. Then I thought, Blue lives in New Zealand... Hmmmm. :-D

The fabric came today and it is beautiful! I am in love with the soft blue and I can hardly wait to work on it. The border fabric is on back order but that's ok as long as I can actually get it. I usually put off doing borders anyway because I don't like doing it. :-D
