    i think they're great. i love that that are not identical. i'm sure they will love them. and i think they're a perfect size.

    I think the size is good. and if you like the raggy edges then keep them. I myself like them and think they look great on the boys quilt. Good job!

    That's the perfect size for kids that age -- big enough to lay on, under, in... but small enough to drag around. My kids are just a bit older and still prefer their quilts about that size.

    My MIL did rag quilts a few years ago for christmas and bordered them... she did kind of a really wide binding if I remember right. Sewed 2 strips together and folded them in half then attached them to the edges of the rag quilt -
    I wouldn't though - I think your quilts are just right as they are.

    if you want them a bit longer you could just add another row of blocks
    they are cute just the way they are- and raggy quilts often have raggy edges- i wouldn't struggle with adding borders- another row of blocks would make the quilts a bit longer-more proportionate- but the boys are not going to care if they are more square than rectangle...they will love them just the way they are.
