using cream colored thread on the red is a good idea. it really doesn't look bad, but if it continues to bother, try your idea. lovely quilt!

Looks beautiful to me. It makes the red in the set in triangles pop.

I do like this quilt but I would put on borders. I would add a blue narrow border than add the red fabric to make it cohesive. I think the cream thread would look super, that would definitely help you since you think it needs it. It really does look great though.

I can see what you mean about the red "popping". I think I'd consider appliquing a trellis or vine, then adding some flowers . Not centered but more to one side. I'd look at the print along the edges & draw some large flowers from that.
It might be fun to come up with something very unique. Good luck

Your quilt looks great but if it is too much red to suit you then why not try putting a a small 2 inch cream border around it. It really looks good like it is. Take a cream colored sheet and lay underneath then pull it up around it like a border and step back and take a look.

Beautiful. I'd like to see some red quilting stitches in the yellow/blue 4 patch and some pale yellow stitching in the red to bring unity to it. Then quilt the border with red.
